I used to be a people pleaser, always seeking approval and giving away my energy to people who didn’t value me. The more you say no to things that don’t benefit you, the more you realize how much healthier your life becomes. Give it a try.

Therefore, learning how to love yourself is key to your overall happiness and well-being.
This should be obvious—if you’re telling yourself, “I’m not good enough,” or “I don’t deserve this,” or “I feel worthless,” you need to stop.
It’s not helping you in any way. If you tell yourself these things, your mind starts to believe them. That affects how you see yourself and how you treat others. You are ultimately disrespecting yourself, and that’s not what we want.
Creating boundaries is essential in your journey of how to love yourself.
Having faith can also help in your journey of how to love yourself more deeply.

Think of boundaries as a protective fence around a beautiful garden—you wouldn’t let anything harmful in to destroy it. Your life is the same: create boundaries to keep out negativity, whether it’s negative words, friends, or even family. Protect your peace, because your life is valuable.
4 Learn to be alone.
This is a big one because we often find ourselves seeking approval, wanting validation from the people around us. But have you ever asked yourself, ” Am I selling myself short? Am I growing as a person? When you spend time alone, you become more comfortable in your own bubble, you go eat alone, you go places alone, you do stuff on your own, and you shouldn’t ever feel bad or guilty for doing these things to benefit yourself, and if anyone is making you feel like that, get rid of them.
Having faith can support your journey on how to love yourself.
This may feel challenging, but improving your life means facing hard truths, taking risks, and sometimes losing relationships. If you avoid these challenges, you remain stuck seeking others’ approval. I chose to step out of my comfort zone, even when others reacted negatively. Don’t make excuses—take action for yourself.
Believing in the love you have for yourself allows you to reject negativity from others.
Ultimately, how to love yourself is about recognizing your potential and strength.
Understanding How to Love Yourself
One quote that always inspires me is: “Would you rather be at peace with yourself and at war with the world, or at war with yourself and at peace with the world?”
It’s something to really think about, and I want you to reflect on
It’s a profound reflection. What will you
Choose?
6 . Have a belief in God
The most important thing here,
There’s nothing to lose when you have faith in God; He will always come through in a bad situation and save you. His word is alive, and it’s true. One of my favorite scriptures is
You are deserving of love, and part of that is learning how to love yourself.
Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Remember, understanding how to love yourself is a journey, not a destination.
The word of God is saying to anyone, no matter if you believe in him or not, you still have a purpose, even if you’re lost and doubting, it even says
In the book of
Genesis 1:27
So God created mankind in his own image,
In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
The message here is: God made you in his image, you have a plan, and you are loved. No.
No matter what people say about you, because God is the creator of everything in this world, and his word and opinion matter more than anyone’s, because we are his creation.
With that being said, if God made us and he loves us, and has a plan for us, we are more worthy than anything we are being told by others. So do not believe the lies you have been told. You are worthy to be loved and have a validated identity in the Lord. You have to believe you are worthy cause you are
Matthew 17:20 If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
